GRADE TWO:
Image result for images of probabilityMath:  our final unit in Math is Probability.  Please review this week for our test on Wednesday.  For the final month, we will spend time working on problem solving using our skills learned all five strands of math learned this year, especially addition/subtraction/multiplication/division, number patters and place value, fractions, time, money, interpreting data on graphs, etc.

Science: We continue to explore and learn about various ways to classify and sort animals; classification (mammals, reptiles, insects, amphibians...etc), coverings (fur/hair, exoskeletons, skin, scales, feathers), eating habits (herbivores, carnivores, omnivores), reproduction (lay eggs or give birth to live young), and much more!  Students have been working collaboratively in small groups to complete each task.  We will also be taking a look at various life cycles and how they compare and contrast to each other.
THRoW:  This week's homework is for the grade 2s to write a compare and contrast paragraph on two classifications of animals.  For example, if they choose insects and mammals, they would follow the following format below that we learned last week.
NO WOW words this week.
(During the EQAO testing, the grade 2s will be spending the 1.5 hrs in the am and pm other primary classrooms).
